Enjoy these dates so endearing on a magical journey through Morocco

Day 28: Marrakech – Todra Gorge

We leave Marrakech for Ouarzazate crossing the High Atlas Mountains over the pass of Tizi n´Tichka at 2260metres altitude. We will discover the village of Skoura located in the heart of the valley of palms. In the oasis the vegetation recovers the secret Kasbahs. From here we will continue to the gorges of Dades. Then we will travel along the banks of the Dades River to Boumalne Dades: a route dotted with Kasbahs and Ksours, in a red and mauve landscape. After a journey full of Ksours and palm oases, we reach Tineghir, perched at 1350 m above sea level and surrounded by palms. Overnight will be in a riad.

Day 29: Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

After breakfast we will visit the Todra Gorge whose vertical walls rise up to reach 300m in height. This narrow canyon is a popular climbing spot for international clubs. After visiting this spectacular landscape we will go to the village of Tinejdad to reach the ksar of Touroug which is surrounded by a beautiful oasis, to Jorf and to Erfoud where they grow the best dates in the country.
We will finally get to the desert, with its voluptuous dunes and fine golden sand. In Erg Chebbi we will meet the camels who will take you to the Berber haimas: a typical desert camp, where you will spend the night with dinner and local entertainment under a star studded sky.

Day 30: Erg Chebbi – Erg Ouzina

Today is a day of desert 100 %. We will get up early to enjoy a unique experience: to watch the majestic sunrise in the desert. After the sunrise and some breakfast we will return to the hotel to shower and get in the car to explore the surrounding desert and villages; the Ouzina Valley and the unique village of Khamlia known as the black peoples village which is inhabited by descendants of former slaves from the sub-Saharan Africa.
There you will enjoy a sample of their culture while tasting a delicious tea. After the visit we will continue to Ouzina Village, a small settlement located at the feet of the reddish sand dunes of Erg Ouzina and where the lovely Kasbah hotel where we will spend the night is located.

Day 31: New Years Eve Celebrations

Today we will have a quiet and relaxed day for being up on the dunes and visiting the village of Ouzina, the Oasis of Ramlia and then back to watch the sunset from the big dune of Erg Ouzina.
We will then go back to the hotel to get ready for the New Years Eve celebrations. We will have a typical dinner: mechoui, which is a whole lamb baked in a traditional oven with a bonfire and local Berber entertainment.

Day 01: Desert Ouzina – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Our adventure starts after breakfast as we leave this part of the desert and travel along the famous Paris Dakar race tracks that criss-cross this area of the desert reaching the southern Saharan regions. We will drive to Msissi to reach the main road at Alnif, a road that rises over the desert landscape.
After Msissi we will go to a village, lost in the heart of the black desert; Tazzarine, with its palm grove. We will cross the beautiful villages that are attached to Jbel Tizouguirine, passing the villages of Nkob and Tansikht, and we will arrive in the Draa Valley, where we will spend the night.

Day 02: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Kasbah Telouet – Marrakech

Leaving the Draa Valley we return to Ouarzazate: the Hollywood of Morocco, and continue on to visit the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a jewel of the region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a beautiful fortified village of crenelated towers, one of the most beautiful ones in the region of Glaoui.
We will finally get back to Marrakech passing through Telouet and Tizi n´Tichka through the heart of the Atlas Mountains. The drive down the mountain road provides an exceptional coloured panoramic picture down to the plains of Haouz. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech.
